The British Council Examinations services in Iraq would like to announce that due to a shortage of examiners no IELTS testing will be conducted in Baghdad in the coming period.

We will continue to offer IELTS in Erbil and Sulimaniya, but this will be a reduced service with limited places.

We are in the process of considering operational solutions and we will keep you informed of future plans.

Our examinations staff can be contacted by email on ielts.iraq@britishcouncil.org , however they are not able to respond to enquires relating to test dates.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause but please be assured that we are doing our best to ensure that your examination needs will be met in the near future in line with our usual high standards of delivery.

NOTE: Full Press Release in Arabic and Kurdish can be found below.
